The Compost Partners supplied ProfiKomp Lifting System (PLS) is designed to provide a fully encapsulated composting process from feedstock delivery through recovery of finished compost. Rather than rolling and unrolling a traditional CASP composting cover after placing feedstocks into the bunker, the cover is lowered over or picked up from the bunker. Combined with a common, enclosed driving ally at the end of the bunkers, front end loaders simply drive under the raised covers to deliver material to the bunker or to remove it. The common enclosed driving area is maintained under negative air pressure and expelled through a small conventional biofilter. This method improves efficiency, safety, and performance in covered aerated composting operations and eliminates the need for a towed or mobile winding machine.
